 Before you decide to hire me as your personal photographer, you need to know that I am not going to be a typical photographer. I strive to take creative and artistic photographs. Candid photographs are my favorite shots. I do take "posed" shots but again I add a level of creavity or artistic quality to them. During event shoots, I make every effort to get the candid shots. Anyone, well almost anyone, can capture a “posed” picture. You never know what you will get with candid photography, but it is my belief that you will probably receive the best photos of the year of your family or group.

         I want the picture of “Great Aunt Mary” and “Great Aunt Lucy” giggling between the posed shots. I want the picture of “Uncle Hank” who everyone believed was a dog-hater secretly feeding “Fido” under the table during the family picnic. If someone smiles in one of my photographs, it is because they are feeling it, not because I have asked them to smile. I will portray my subjects with dignity and depth, and I am always looking for the things that define them and make them unique. Those are the photographs that truly captivate the essence of the moment. 

But I also want you to enjoy those moments too. You shouldn’t have to be burdened with a camera during your event. You need to love the moment along with everyone else. Let me do the work. Let me capture your moments of laughter, story telling, whatever makes that moment memorable.

The photographs that I capture will tell a story. That story will be for you to share. They will draw you back to the moment in time and you will reflect - I thought Uncle Hank hated dogs? It is my hope that my photographs will grip your heart and pull you back.
